Hello, My name is Candice! I love working with anyone and everyone who has a desire to feel better. I have a strong interest in helping those who experience anxiety, depression, and trauma. I discovered this passion while working at the VA where I had the honor to serve military veterans.
I have extensive experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing
Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). All of that is to say I teach skills to help with anxiety, trauma, and depression symptoms in combination with getting to know you.
My Philosophy on Mental Health:
Let’s do what works! This may include some trial and error and that is where I come in to help guide and support you. Life is not perfect and rather than try to change everything around you, let’s strengthen your ability to cope with day to day stress and struggle to help you thrive.
