How Can I Help You?
From the first session, I’m focused on learning your story and allowing your questions and goals to guide our work together. I draw from a number of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). I also enjoy weaving mindfulness and somatic practices into therapy sessions to support your connection to mind, body, and spirit.
My Philosophy on Mental Health:
I believe mental health is influenced in part by our environment and our connections with others. You may have grown up in, or still find yourself in, an environment and in relationships with others that have encouraged negative and false beliefs about yourself. In the therapeutic space, you have the opportunity to strengthen your own voice and to be heard and seen by another human person who is focused on supporting your healing.
More About Me…
When I’m not at work, I love being able to cuddle with my black lab and cat. I spend my time reading, moving my body at the gym or on a yoga mat, or enjoying live music with my family and friends around San Diego.
Fun Fact!
I have red hair! When I was born, I was the first redhead to be born on either side of my family in three generations.
