Quick Tip – Cold Water Technique

Do you feel like when your anxiety hits you can’t move, breath, or function? When you feel panicky, flushed, or emotionally overwhelmed, do you feel like nothing can help? I am here to give you one simple trick that might help take away those feelings. This is called the cold water challenge. This tip is perfect for anyone on the go, you can do this anywhere anytime.

HOW TO DO IT:

Wherever you are, excuse yourself to the bathroom. Turn on the faucet and put it as cold as you can get it. Take a deep breath. Put your hands under the running water all the way up to your wrists and close your eyes. Let the water run for at least 15 seconds. Repeat as often as you need until your nervous system has calmed down and you feel your heart rate decreasing and the anxiety dissipating.
