We currently offer both virtual and in person sessions. You get the option to choose the way you receive therapy based on your needs and your lifestyle.
Online counseling is commonly referred to as virtual counseling, telehealth, or video chat therapy. It is a convenient way to connect with a therapist from the comfort of your home. All you need is a computer and an internet connection.
Online Counseling Services at Freedom Within Center
At Freedom Within Center, we use a HIPAA compliant application, which is free and easy to access, to connect virtually with our clients. Online therapy has been well researched and shown in studies to be just as effective as in-person therapy.
We have counselors who have worked very effectively with clients through online sessions and have found it to be especially helpful for folks on the go or those who find it difficult to leave the home. Some clients even supplement their face-to-face therapy sessions with online sessions when they are unable to come in due to illness or changing schedules. We welcome both individual online counseling and online couples counseling options.
Often times clients try online therapy once and find it much easier and much more convenient than they had anticipated. Not to mention you can stay in the comfort of your own home! We have met many pets and family members who love to wander in to say “Hi” to us during session. That being said, it is important that you have a space for online counseling sessions where you can feel comfortable sharing with your therapist without fear of your 3-year old, significant other, or a nosy neighbor listening to your session.
We take confidentiality seriously and want to ensure you feel comfortable when talking with your therapist. We only use secure HIPAA compliant software to conduct online sessions. Also know that we can use the same beneficial treatment approaches during online therapy as we do in person with little adjustment to the interventions.
Online therapy services continue to grow in popularity in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and may even be the wave of the future for therapy. Request a virtual appointment with us now or call us for an initial screening to find out if this is a good option for you.
