Meet the Therapist!

Hi, I’m Emily Park, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with several years of experience as a therapist. I felt called to this work because I genuinely love partnering with others in helping them reach their goals. Having experienced anxiety and depression at different points in my own life, I deeply understand the impact of being truly seen, heard, and supported, and the powerful role a caring therapeutic relationship can play in healing. As a San Diego native, I’ve always felt a strong appreciation for the military community and their service. I’m grateful to combine that appreciation with my passion for helping others. While I enjoy working with a diverse range of clients, I specialize in working with trauma, PTSD, and anxiety within the military population. I also have experience supporting clients with OCD, as well as navigating life stressors and major transitions.

How Can I Help You?

I believe mental health is holistic and interconnected with our emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. This perspective shapes both my personal life and my clinical approach, and I enjoy helping clients explore these dimensions to create balance and resilience. In the therapy space, I strive to create a calm, supportive environment and bring a blend of empathy, compassion, humor, and gentle assertiveness to foster connection and insight.

My Philosophy on Mental Health:

My hope for clients is to empower them to access their innate capacity for healing and growth in a safe and supportive setting. I believe strongly in living according to values rather than past hurts, and in building a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling. To support clients in reaching their goals, I utilize evidence-based modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while also integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as mindfulness based approaches to create an individualized treatment plan.

More About Me…

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, baking, camping and hiking with my husband and our dog.

Fun Fact!
I have been to 48 National Parks.
