Welcome, we are currently hiring for therapists, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologists and LPCC!

Yay you made it here! Thanks for your interest in joining the Freedom Within Team! We are a group practice providing psychotherapy to adults. We are looking to hire 4 more licensed therapists in the state of CA with a preference for local San Diego therapists, but open to remote positions as well! Therapists must be licensed in California. We are also open to hiring Associate Clinicians who are complete or near complete (at least 1,500 hours) with their licensing hours and willing to see at least 20 clients/week. Therapists can either work entirely in the office or they can opt to work remotely, performing telehealth sessions or a combination of the two! We are located at 2650 Camino del Rio N. which is in Mission Valley (San Diego, CA). We accept California licensed PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LPCC and LMFT, ASW, AMFT. Our mission is to provide quality care using a genuine, down to earth approach that incorporates compassion, humor, and authenticity. We strive to partner with our clients to help release their pain and restore their sense of freedom within. We are looking for therapists who also embody this mission.

We provide individual and couples therapy to adults. We do not see children in our practice. A large number of our clients are active duty military, Veterans and young professionals. Our practice focuses on treating PTSD, trauma, anxiety, relationship concerns, postpartum and transitional issues. You are not limited to working within this framework, however, most of the clients who are referred to Freedom Within fall under these presenting problems. In addition, we have opportunities to run groups for most types of clients. Additionally, we strive for our own growth and development as therapists through continuing education, case consultations and monthly DEI work groups. Our most recent trainings included Cognitive Processing Therapy with a Certified CPT consultant and Gottman training for couples therapists. *Please note that we do not serve any clients under 18, if that is an area you are hoping to focus on unfortunately we will not be a good fit.

• This is a W-2 position for a therapist (psychologist, LCSW, LMFT, ASW, AMFT) to work in a private practice setting providing counseling to individuals and couples.
• Both part time and full time therapist positions available. All client referrals are provided.
  • Full time requires 24+ client hours/week (typically meaning 27-28 clients need to be scheduled) with a flexible schedule and is eligible for health insurance benefits. 
  • Part time requires 20+ client hours/week (this typically means 23-24 clients need to be scheduled weekly).

• $52-$60 per clinical hour for Licensed Masters Level DOE This comes to $82-$93k annually based on caseload size of 28 clients seen weekly and factoring in admin time, not including any unpaid time off).
• $75-$82 for Licensed Doctoral level DOE (this comes to $116-$126k annually based on caseload size of 28 clients seen weekly and factoring in admin time, not including any unpaid time off).). 
• $30-$37 per clinical hour for Associate Level Clinicians (those waiting for licensure). This comes to $50-$61k annually based on caseload size of 28 clients seen weekly and factoring in admin time, not including any unpaid time off). Supervision is provided and paid for unlicensed therapists by an LCSW or LMFT.
• Administrative time (for note writing, meetings, etc…) is paid at $20/hr. Late cancellations/no shows are paid. A 90-day trial is required as we ensure a good fit for both the clinician and the practice.
