Meet the Admin!

Hi! My name is Sara Funtanilla, like Tatum, I work on the Freedom Within admin team as a Client Care Coordinator. Everyone’s healing journey is unique! Life can be messy and is often unpredictable. I make it my goal to be as supportive as possible in those unforeseen moments and connect you to the best therapist suited to help.

I graduated with my bachelors in Behavioral Health Science from Grand Canyon University (Lopes Up!), but that is far from when my interest in people began. My passion for mental health started when I was young. My mother works in the field and sometime down the line, I realized that I wanted to too. I enjoy getting to know others, and hope to be a source of comfort and peace when you step into our office. 

More about me:

I am originally from Hawaii, I moved to San Diego about two years ago. I LOVE the water! When I was young my favorite family activity was camping at the beach. Waking up to the sound of waves crashing on the sand and the sun barely peeking up from the horizon are my favorite memories! I am also the middle of three, I have an older “hanai” (adopted at heart) sister and a younger brother.

Fun Fact:

I am a big anime and cartoon fan! One of my goals while I live here in San Diego, is to attend Comic Con in cosplay!
