Meet the Therapist!

Hello! My name is Annika Fox. I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor who is passionate about walking alongside my clients as they figure out what their happiest, healthiest life actually looks like. I have a strong interest in women’s health and hormonal wellness. I’ve navigated my own women’s health challenges, and I know firsthand how frustrating and exhausting it can be to feel dismissed or unheard by the systems that are supposed to help us. That lived experience shapes how I show up for clients working through similar struggles. I also enjoy supporting people through relational issues, helping them build healthier, more honest connections with the people around them, whether that’s a partner, family, friends, or themselves. This often overlaps with the work I love doing with young adults navigating life transitions — new jobs, new relationships, moves, identity shifts, all the “what am I doing with my life” moments that can feel isolating but are so worth working through.

How Can I Help You?

I am here to meet you where you are without judgement. Together, we will identify your needs and goals and figure out what tools actually work for your life. I believe in collaboration, not a one-size-fits-all approach — so whatever you’re carrying, we’ll work together toward you living your happiest and healthiest life.

I practice from a Person-Centered, Humanistic foundation, because I believe every person is unique and deserves to be met exactly where they are, without judgment. From there, I draw on Strengths-Based approaches, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build a therapeutic experience tailored to you. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, life transitions, stress, relationship trouble, or something else entirely, I want you to feel safe, respected, and heard.

My Philosophy on Mental Health:

We can all use a safe space to process, vocalize, and express ourselves fully authentically. It is important to feel safe, heard, and have trust with the right therapist. Therapy is the support piece that can guide us to our fullest potential. I believe you have the strength and knowledge within yourself, and I am excited to help bring that to the surface.

More About Me…

Outside of therapy, I love to stay active by going to workout classes, going to the beach, or walking in the San Diego sunshine. I also enjoy reading a good book on the couch, quality time with my friends and family, and travelling to new cities.

Fun Fact!

The coolest trip I’ve ever taken was a safari in Africa!
